Wood Farm touring park, Charmouth, Dorset. In August 2002 we had two weeks here.
The site is very clean and most pitches have scenic views over the valley to the
hills. Pitches are fair sized, though not always on the level. There is a fishing
lake on site but you have to walk down a very steep lane to it - quite a trek
with all your tackle! However, the site staff will give you a lift to the lake
if you ask. ! The site is not within easy walking distance of anything unless
you are fit and energetic - village with pubs and shops about 1.5 miles, pebble
beach 2.5 miles all up hill and down dale - not suitable for cycling. The site
is well placed for touring around the area and there are many places within an
easy drive such as Axminster, Lyme Regis and Weymouth. We enjoyed it but we probably
won't go back to the same site. I'd give it 5 out of 10

We spent a weekend at Moreton in Marsh, Gloustershire, a caravan club site in
the beautiful Cotswolds. The site is a short walk from the village with its quaint
shops, cafes and pubs. The site is of the usual Caravan club standard with extras
such as a free crazy golf course. We asked if we could stay on site until teatime
on our day of departure and were told that it was no problem and wouldn't cost
any extra. This meant we could make the most of our Sunday and extended our weekend
considerably. Bourton on the Water, possibly the most photographed Cotswold village,
and Stratford on Avon are both a short drive from the site. This was an above
average site and I would probably go back there for a weekend. I'd give it 6 out
of 10.
